two are better than one (especially if that one is better than you)

Well, I’ve got some exciting news for you readers of Old School Script.

As I’ve dove into the waters of biblioblogging I didn’t realize there was such a “serious” community out there. When I started this blog I simply wanted a venue to share the struggles and joys of what I’m learning with others who might have been interested in doing the same. I’d recently finished an MA, my mind had been cracked open to the wider world of biblical studies and linguistics, and I needed a place to hammer things out since I wasn’t going to be going back to school any time soon.

What I quickly realized was that for a blog to do well—and perhaps a tactic to encourage more participation—lo, and behold, I needed to write more. But I simply don’t have the sweat-equity to do this, or desire to manufacture cheap script.

So, given the advice of several other bibliobloggers, I decided it would be a good idea to tag team with another mate. Fortunate enough for me, God had been working before the ages and preordained that such an invitation to share a blog would be sent, and that such a someone would accept.

Well, I’m happy to announce that Chris Fresch—who currently hails from Cambridge—will be joining me at Old School Script to deliver out of this world insights and expertise on subjects matters like the Septuagint, Discourse analysis, etc.—or something to that effect.

I have no doubts you’ll enjoy reading in the days to come. So stay tuned.
